H hook. Ch 2 at begging of row counts as stitch made
1. )Ch 4, join to form ring. Ch 2, 11 dc’s in ring, join, (12 sts)
2. ) Ch 2, 1 dc in same space as ch 2, 2 dc’s in each st around, join to top of ch 2 (24 sts)
3. ) Ch 2, 2 dc in next st, *1 dc in next st, 2 dc’s in next st; *repeat around, join to top of ch 2 (36 sts)
4. ) Ch 2, 1 dc in next st, 2 dc in in the st; *1 dc in each of next 2 sts, 2 sts in next st; *repeat around and join to top of ch 2 . (48 sts)
5. ) Ch 3, 1 dc in stitch to the right, (( I go from behind to make a clean crisp X stitch)), *skip next st, 1 dc in next st, 1 dc in stitch just skipped, * repeat around, join to top of ch 3... note: you can make x st by going over front of dc into st just skipped, but going from behind makes it crisp and clean
6. - 10. ) Ch 2, 1 dc in each st around, join to top of ch 2
11 - 12.) Ch 2, *1 FPDC in next st, 1 BPDC in next st, *repeat around, join to top of ch 2, finish off and tuck in tails
