Chain 51.
Row 1: half double crochet in 3rd chain from hook and in every chain
across. Chain 2, turn.
Row 2 and every row thereafter: half double crochet in every stitch
across. Chain 2, turn.
Continue until the shawl is as long as you are tall.
Add a fringe as desired to each end.
This is a very basic simple pattern, and turns out beautiful, especially when made with Lionbrand Homespun yarn or Hobby Lobby Very soft yarn.
