Color A - main color
Color B - Matching ombre


DRESS:  "ALL STS WORKED IN BACK LOOPS ONLY"
Row 1: ch 16, 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each st across, ch 1 turn

Row's 2 - 10: 1 sc in each st across, ch 1 turn (15 sts)

Row 11: 1 sc in first 2 sts, ch 8, skip 8 sts, sc in remaining 5 sts, ch 1, turn

Row 12: 1 sc in each st and ch across, ch 1, turn (15 sts)

Row's 13-30 : 1 sc in each st across, ch 1 turn

Row 31: 1 sc in first 2 sts, ch 8, skip 8 sts, sc in remaining 5 sts, ch 1, turn

Row 32: 1 sc in each st and ch across, ch 1, turn (15 sts)

Row 33 - 40 -: 1 sc in each st across, ch 1 turn (15 sts)
DO NOT FASTEN OFF

Top Side:
Working down left side, sc in end of last row,
(sc in space between next 2 rows) 19 times. Fasten off


Bottom Trim:
Attach color B on bottom of dresswith sc, ch 1, sc in same st, ch 1 *1 sc
in next st, ch 1 *Repeat across, ch 1 turn
Repeat this row until desired length, I did 8 times for this pattern

** (You can do the same kind of trim to top of dress if desired, only 1 row across)

TIES: attach color B to one end of top of dress, ch 25, fasten off,
Repeat for other side



PANTIES:
Row 1: ch 5, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, ch 1 turn (4 sc)

Row 2: sc in each st across, ch 1 turn

Row 3-10: 2 sc in first st, sc in each st across to last st, 2 sc in last st, ch 1 turn
(20 sts at end of row 10)

Row's 11-20: 1 sc in each st around, join, ch 1,
Fasten off after row 20

SECOND SIDE:
Working in remaining loops of row 1 of first side, sc in each of 4 sts across, ch 1, turn

Row's 2-10: Repeat rows 2-10 of first side

Row's 11-20: Repeat row's 11-20 as above DO NOT FASTEN OFF after row 20,
join with sl st to first sc on other side, sc in each st down to leg opening, fasten off

Attach yarn with sc to opposite side, sc down both pieces together to let opening, fasten off

With color B, 1 sc around each st in leg opening on both sides.


BONNET: [For doll use a G hook, for newborn use H hook]
Ch 4, join to form ring, ch 3, 14 dc in ring, join to top of ch 3 (14 dc, Plus ch 3)

Row 2: ch 3, 2 dc in each st around, ch 3 turn (28 sts, plus ch 3)

Row 3: 1 dc in next st, 2 dc in next st, *Repeat around LEAVING LAST 5 STS UN-WORKED, ch 1 turn

Row 4: Working in Back Loops only for this row, sc in first 3 sts, hdc in next 3 sts,
1 dc in next 3 sts, tr in next 19 sts, 1 dc in next 3 sts, 1 hdc in next 3 sts,
1 sc in last 3 sts, ch 1 turn

Row 5-6: 1 dc in each st across, ch 2 turn
(If using this pattern for a newborn, repeat this row 3 more times)
Fasten off


TOP RUFFEL:
Working on un-worked loops from row 4, front of bonnet facing you, join with sc to
first loop, ch 2, *sc in next loop, ch 2, *Repeat across and fasten off


TRIM:
With color B, attach to side of bonnet, sc around back, 2 in corners and up
opposite side to frond of bonnet, sc in each st across front of bonnet to side,
ch 2, 1 dc in each st across side, back and opposite side, fasten off


TIES:
Ch 60, weave through sc on side of bonnet and around back and opposite side
