Pet Mat

WW Yarn - These Pet Mats are made up from left over yarn rolled into balls,
If your going to buy yarn to make a Pet Mat, buy 1 in varagated & 1 in plain

K Hook

NOTES:
1.) always hold 2 strands together
2.) ch 2 DOES count as a st
3.) 12 Row's measures 18" - 13 Row's measures 20"


Row 1: With 2 strands held together, ch 4, join to form ring, ch 2,
       9 dc in ring, join (10 sts)

Row 2: ch 2, 1 dc in same st, 2 dc in each st around, join (20 sts)

Row 3: ch 2, *2 dc in next st, 1 dc in nest st, *Repeat around (30 sts)


Row 4: ch 2, 1 dc in next st, 2 dc in next st, *1 dc in each of next
       2 sts, 2 dc in next st, *Repeat around, join


Row 5: ch 2, 1 dc in each of next 2 st, 2 dc in next st, *1 dc in each
       of next 3 sts, 2 dc in next st, *Repeat around, join


Row 6: ch 2, 1 dc in each of next 3 st, 2 dc in next st, *1 dc in each
       of next 4 sts, 2 dc in next st, *Repeat around, join


Row 7: ch 2, 1 dc in each of next 4 st, 2 dc in next st, *1 dc in each

  1. Once upon a time, my aunt, who worked at a garment factory, gave me some end-strips and I decided to make a rug for myself from them. Well, I didn't get far before my best kitty fell completely in love with it - so much that I ended up stopping about row 12 because he wouldn't let me work on it for wanting to lay in my lap on top of the growing rug! What a great memory!
