Fan & Feather Dish-Towel

Rating: : easy

FACE-Cloth
Materials: 1 ball of cotton yarn, Size 7 knitting needles.
Instructions: Cast on 42 stitches (or a multiple of 18 plus 6)
Knit 3 rows of garter stitch for the border.
Row 4: Knit
Row 5: K 3, P to last 3 stitches K3
Row 6: K3, *(K2 tog) 3 times, (yo, K1) 6 times, (K2 tog) 3 times, rep from * to last 3 sts K3
Row 7: Purl
Repeat Rows 4 - 7, keeping first and last 3 stitches in garter stitch, until piece measures desired length.
I work 12 repeats of the 4-row pattern (12 lace rows), so 48 rows for the pattern, plus the garter stitch rows at the beginning and end.
Knit 3 more rows of garter stitch to make the bottom border.
Cast off and darn in ends

FACE TOWEL
Materials: 1 cone of cotton yarn, Size 7 knitting needles.
Instructions: Cast on 78 stitches
Knit 3 rows of garter stitch for the border.
Row 4: Knit
Row 5: K 3, P to last 3 stitches K3
Row 6: K3, (K2 tog) 3 times, *(yo, K1) 6 times, (K2 tog) 6 times, rep from *(2 more times),(yo, K1) 6 times, (K2 tog) 3 times, to last 3 sts, K3
Row 7: Purl
Repeat Rows 4 - 7, keeping first and last 3 stitches in garter stitch, until piece measures desired length.

{NOTE:}
 I work a total of (24) repeats of the 4-row pattern for a total of 96 rows, PLUS garter stitch rows at the beginning and end..
Knit 3 more rows of garter stitch to make the bottom border.
Cast off and darn in ends

{NOTE} This is NOT actually my {JMSQ} pattern, BUT, this is what I did in order to make a FACE TOWEL, so in essence that part is mine...JMSQ
